First of all, prepare the site

If the soil is too acidic, this doesn’t mean that you can’t plant them anymore, but it is recommended that you add lime, in order to make it perfect for this type of flower. You certainly know that a healthy soil will promote healthy plants, therefore you need to have this important aspect in mind. It is highly recommended that you enrich the soil with organic soil amendments such as peat moss, manure or compost, for better results. Organic fertilizer is also needed, and you should have in mind to add a handful of it per plant.

Start planting

Before you actually start planting, it is important that you know everything about the type of plants that you have chosen to plant. It is essential that you are well informed, due to the fact that some of them need a lot of space to grow, whereas others are perfect for small spaces. You certainly don’t want to make a mistake, and therefore you must make the right choice. Once you have done this, it is time to start digging the holes. A hole must be twice bigger than the size of the container that the perennial comes in. When the hole is ready, you need to carefully remove the plant from the container and lightly loosen its roots. By doing so the plant will easily grow out of the wrapped ball, and it will also settle in quicker. You must refill the hole with soil and water that are just a bit. An important thing that you must know is that you should never bury a plant like that deeper than its crown. Repeat the same procedure with the rest of the plants, but remember to keep the right distance between them, in order to allow them to grow beautifully.
