The Powell River Garden Tour 2025

The Powell River Garden Tour 2025 will take place on Sunday, June 8, and will feature seven gardens for participants to admire and enjoy.

Many of the gardens are located south of town, offering a unique opportunity for visitors to explore and appreciate the beauty of nature.

The garden tour will be hosted by well-known horticulturist and qathet community member Diana Wood, who will be opening up her backyard oasis, Boxwood Cottage and Garden, for tour participants.

Boxwood Cottage and Garden features a variety of rose bushes, ornamental flowers, well-designed rock walls, a walking bridge over a creek, gazebos, and shady communal sitting areas.

Wood is a member of the Canadian Rose Society and is passionate about raising awareness about the beauty of roses.

The garden tour is not just about admiring the gardens, but also about learning about the design and landscaping principles that have gone into creating these beautiful spaces.

The garden tour will feature musical guests, who will be performing throughout the day, adding to the relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere.

Visitors are encouraged to dress in garden party attire, such as wide-brimmed hats, flowy light pants and dresses, to add to the festive atmosphere of the event.

The garden tour starts at 9 am and lasts until 4 pm on June 8, and tickets can be found at Springtime Garden Centre in Cranberry or Mother Nature in Westview.

The garden tour is a fundraiser for community projects and scholarships for those entering university, supporting a great cause and making it a unique and exciting event.
