The show will also feature competitions such as the NEHS Giant Veg Competition, the National Onion Championship, and classes for seasonal produce. Visitors can also enjoy expert talks, live demonstrations, and floristry workshops throughout the event. The show is a perfect opportunity for families to spend quality time together, and for children to develop a love for growing and gardening.

“September is the perfect time to celebrate the year’s horticultural achievements.”

Nick Smith, director of Harrogate Flower Shows, said: “We are so well known for our floral displays and competitions, but this year we’re also focusing on encouraging youngsters to get involved in growing. With full access to Newby Hall’s brilliant adventure playground, it’s a perfect day out for families.”

The Harrogate Autumn Flower Show is one of two flower shows hosted annually by the NEHS, with the Spring Flower Show taking place in Harrogate in April. The profits from the event are used to support and promote the work of specialist societies and groups, and charitable horticultural organizations.
