Pothos
Pothos is a tropical plant that is easy to grow, and it’s the perfect choice for beginners who are just learning their way around houseplants.
It’s a vining plant, meaning it will naturally start to drape down from its pot. You can either leave it as-is, or train it to grow up a trellis inside your home.
Pothos is also known as Devil’s Ivy because of its ability to thrive in darkness. It can survive even if you forget to water it for weeks on end. Be warned though—it won’t like being in the dark all the time! If you want your Pothos to thrive, it should be placed somewhere brightly lit but away from direct sunlight.
Like most house plants, Pothos grows slowly so you don’t have to worry about pruning right away (unless you want your plant to maintain its current size).

Though Snake Plants add a lot of benefits to your home with their air-purifying abilities, they are also toxic to dogs and cats so it’s best kept out of reach from your pets if you have any.
Snake Plants need little care other than watering twice per month in the fall and winter months, and misting on occasion for humidity. They prefer full sun or bright indirect light but will tolerate lower light conditions as well (perfect for bedrooms).

Spider plants (Chlorophytum comosum) are one of the easiest plants to grow indoors. They do well in medium light and can even survive low light conditions. Not only that, but they also require little water and feeding. In fact, it’s best to water them less than more for optimal growth. To top it all off, spider plants are great at purifying the air as they absorb pollutants and produce oxygen.
The leaves on spider plants tend to be long, thin, and wavy with white patterns on them (which gives them their nickname “spider web”). The leaves come out of a center rosette that can either be green or variegated (with yellow-white stripes). When the rosette gets heavy enough with leaves, it will droop over until it touches the ground and then grow new roots into the soil where you can cut it off to start a new plant! These new baby plants growing out of the mother plant are called “spiderettes.”

It prefers sandy soil, should be watered every three weeks, and should get medium light. In terms of repotting, you’ll want to do this every two or three years depending on how quickly it’s growing.
